Welcome
to Midwest
Metal Magazine.Com
Yeah, it’s been a while,
huh? Hopefully some of you have kept up with me via MySpace as the
blanks from April 2007 to present are filled in over there via Blogs,
photos etc. Truth be told I’m happy to still exist as I’ve been
trying to ditch a lot of the business aspects of Midwest Metal. No
deadlines, no advertising, no promises and no bullshit. I write when
I can and that’s how it goes. 2008 marks the 16th year
of doing what I do for better or worse and like I said earlier, I’m
just happy to still be going. This is an interesting time in the
World of music with all the technology and who knows how everything
will turn out. People are stealing more and more music and in turn
record stores are closing left and right. There’s a whole
generation that will not know the magic of the record store and the
thrill of discovery. That’s pretty sad, but what can anyone do to
stop this? Enough of that, let’s get into it, here’s what we’ve
got for you and as always, thanks for reading.
Interviews: Slayer, All
Out War, NightShade and Mark Weglarz of Metal
Haven,
Chicago’s Headbanging Headquarters.
Reviews: A lot! There’s so much music being released these days it’s
impossible to get to everything, but I’m not kidding when I say
there’s a ton of reviews here. Chris Pratl and Eric Bryan return
and I’m very thankful for their help. Check out the words and GO
OUT AND BUY SOME MUSIC! Check
out the Reviews!
Photos: The biggest photo update we’ve ever had. Andrew set us up with a
killer photo gallery
and literally hundreds have been added. Have a look!
So,
that’s it for now. Thank you for stopping by.
As
always, for in between update, updates. Check www.myspace.com/midwestmetal
